Elaine and I are back for another Star Trek episode where we talk all about unusual Star Trek pairings. It lead us to some deep personal conversations as well.

The last few years have been a time of incredible growth for me, I’ve been relearning so many things, I feel like I rebuilt myself inside out in so many ways. And though I didn’t know it was happening, I was shaped by many of the lessons I learned from various episodes of the show and watching the relationships between characters develop. I finally understood why people became so obsessed with this show – like Elaine!

Her branding is on point – she has been a passionate Star Trek fan her whole life, and when I met her, even though I wasn’t a fan at the time, I was infected with her love for the characters, the people, and the community. We had a blast on Episode 47 so I brought her back!

Join us in our conversation as we touch on a handful of relationships that affected us like when Guinan took Ro Laren under her wing to when Riker and Deanna Troi had ended their relationship.  Through these episodes, we both realized the power and importance of platonic relationships, such as the one between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy.
